Built by football people.
Kova didn't start as software. It started as a methodology for developing players — a way of describing a player's growth across six dimensions instead of one score, built for coaches who already knew what they were looking for and wanted a better way to see it and share it.
The platform exists because the methodology needed somewhere to live. Academies were already running on WhatsApp, a notes app, a spreadsheet, and a paper register — the schedule in one place, the feedback in another, the payment reminders somewhere else, and the parent who joined in October never added to any of them. Kova brings all of it together, attached to the player or the event it belongs to.
We're building Kova for US academies, Texas first — with directors, coaches, players, and parents each getting the view built for them, and every decision about a child's data starting from how we'd want it handled for our own kids.

The methodology behind the product
Players are described across six dimensions rather than reduced to a single rating, with questions age-banded so a nine-year-old and a sixteen-year-old are never asked the same thing. Scores never decay and never rank one child against another — the goal is an honest picture of a player's own growth, not a leaderboard.
